Tree Pruning
Pruning trees is an important part of maintaining their health and beauty, but it is not a task to be taken lightly. Improper pruning can cause irreparable damage to or even kill trees, so it is important to ensure that the job is done correctly. The best way to do this is by only hiring arborists to prune your trees.
An arborist is a professional who is trained and certified in the care of trees. They have the knowledge and experience to prune trees in ways that promote their health and structure. A healthy tree with a properly formed structure will be a safer and more beautiful addition to your property. An arborist will also be able to diagnose any issues with your trees, such as diseases or pests, and recommend the best course of action to address those issues.
Hiring an arborist offers many advantages in addition to ensuring that your trees are pruned properly. Arborists are trained to operate at heights and utilize proper safety gear to get the job done. This is crucial if your trees are large or have tall branches extended out over your home. Based on the particular requirements of each species, an arborist will also be able to advise you on the ideal time of year to prune your trees as well as the intensity to which it should be pruned. For example, in Texas you shouldn’t prune Oak trees from February to July. Doing so can lead to an Oak Wilt infection which can kill your trees as well as your neighbors.
Not every tree job requires an arborist. If you are having a tree removed, the end result will be a stump. As long as the crew is insured and has workers compensation, any tree crew should be fine to remove your tree. But when it comes to pruning, I have seen time and time again that using the low cost tree service can lead to irreparable damage to a trees form and health.
